Potteries Sub-Aqua Club was originally formed in October 1993 with 20 experienced divers and we are affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club. Our club, BS-AC No. 1935, was formed with two main aims:

Today, the Club boasts National, Advanced and Club Diving Instructors and has a strong association with the BS-AC and its Regional Coaching Scheme.

The diving year has been predominantly split into two. Autumn and Winter has a focus on training and diving at inland sites with some vists to the coast, whereas Spring and Summer are dedicated to UK coastal waters and abroad. For diving around the UK, the Club uses it's own RIBs or charter vessels and is increasingly diving in the sea all year round.

The Club meets at Newcastle High Schools Pool on a Tuesday evening between 20:20 and 20:30 although most members will arrive slightly earlier. Afterwards, from 20:45 to 22:30, the Club uses the bar and private Club-room of the Duke of York, pub opposite Newcastle College on the A34 Newcastle.
